During the Industrial Age there was no limit to how much an employer could ask a worker to work in a week. Workers would work for 10 or more hours a day for 6 days straight. This means they were working for over 60 hours a week. When answering this debate, remember the group you are part of and some of the issues that they would have to consider when answering this question.
The minimum wage is currently at $7.25 an hour. There are some people that currently argue that the minimum wage law is limiting job growth. Would your group support keeping the minimum wage law or would they want it done away with. Remember that the minimum wage law was not always around. For this topic think of your group in the present time rather than in the past.
